As an example of some of the family activities we organise, please see the extract below.  Our news section contains reports and details of trips that we have completed, and should give an up to date idea of what's going on.  Member's will get regular emails telling them of the upcoming trips, and the opportunity to take part.


Sun. 13th April   Lancaster Canal      Start on the water at 10.30 am at Bolton le Sands – lay by with burger van – this will be a return trip to the Lune 
 Aqueduct. All types of canoe /kayak welcome – bring a pack up  - some  may get as far as a canal side pub.
Please note this is a round trip of about 8 miles – 4- 5 hours of gentle paddling so some small juniors may need a tow from time to time !!
There is no need to do the whole trip –you can turn round at any point but you will then be ‘on your own’
 
Please bring you canoe england membership cards as they are also a waterways licence.
 
Sun 20th April Easter Egg Hunt Coniston   start Brown How. 10.00 to 2.00 approx. bring food /DRINK
(if at Ulverston pool after do NOT use the boat you intend to use at the pool).
 
For both the above   The trailer will be going but as always use your own transport if possible. Let John know if you wish to use club kit for either event and if you will need a lift
on the day.

 
Club / family paddle days -13th April (Lancaster Canal). 20th April Easter egg hunt (Brown How).11th May Fell Foot, May 25th( tour of Coniston) 8th June Thirlmere.  July 20th Drewent water.
All club activities are open to all members, often a level of skill or qualifications will be needed to take part in an activity.Some events are specifically aimed at families where there may be a wide spread of abilities. These events include club paddles on lakes and the Lancaster Canal.
Details of events are sent out to members by e-mail and may appear on the web site news / calendar
